For customers traveling to San Martín de los Andes (Patagonia), a new lounge has opened at the Aviador Carlos Campos Chapelco Airport (CPC) in Neuquén, Argentina. This new AMAE Lounge is located landside with seating capacity for 22 guests and spans 829 square feet (77 m²).

This new lounge is the first lounge ever to open at the Chapelco Airport and will be open temporarily while they continue to renovate the terminal and build a larger permanent lounge location. The opening of this new location brings the AMAE Lounge's operations to 18 locations in South America.

Amenities

Inside the lounge, there is leather seating with small side tables and chargers throughout. There are also full-size tables and seating for those wanting to dine, work, or relax at a table. The self-serve food and bar area includes many snacks and drink options for those in the lounge. In addition, there is an espresso machine and various cold beverages. The lounge features warm lighting, flight monitors, Wi-Fi, and windows with outside views.

Access

Customers can access the lounge through various memberships, including Dragonpass, Priority Pass, LoungeKey, Visa Airport Companion, and Premium Pass (purchased on the AMAE site). Children under 2 years old are admitted free.

Chapelco Growth

The Chapelco Airport has been growing and saw a 10% increase in 2025 from the previous year. This airport is popular year-round, with winter flights peaking at 70 flights per week with Aerolíneas Argentinas and JetSMART service from Buenos Aires (APE and EZE), Córdoba (COR), and Rosario (ROS) in Argentina.

Closing Thoughts

The lounge is on the small side but should work fine for the limited traffic the airport sees during normal operations. Being landside, customers will need to plan enough time to clear security, but having the lounge here is a great plus.
