American Airlines has announced that it will start refreshing the design at select Admirals Clubs starting with Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) this fall.

The new Admirals Club interior design is inspired by our customers, who tell us that their favorite aspect of visiting our lounges is feeling like they’re ‘coming home’ said Clarissa Sebastian

When customers enter the newly designed lounges, they will see local landscapes and landmarks related to each city. They will also experience a more warm and charming feeling that relates to the city where the lounge is located. Sustainability will also be part of the new design, such as branded elements made of renewable American walnut in every lounge.

Admirals Club lounges currently planned for this rejuvenation include Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), Denver International Airport (DEN), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), which will also feature the reimagined new design.

Closing Thoughts

It is exciting to see American invest in both sustainability and bringing local inspiration to its lounges. I look forward to the new Admirals Club in Austin, since the one there is a bit worn and needs a refresh.
