The Garifuna CIP Lounge Opens at Argyle International Airport (SVD)

The Garifuna CIP Lounge opened on the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent at the Argyle International Airport (SVD) on November 11, 2025. This is the first airport lounge to open on the island AND the only public airport lounge in the island nation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Garifuna Lounge at Argyle International Airport was named and designed to pay homage to the Garifuna people and their invaluable contributions to the nation’s heritage. The lounge was decorated by Eloise Gonsalves, wife of Saint Vincent & The Grenadines Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves.

Access

This public use lounge is open to anyone, regardless of airline status or ticket class, can access the lounge for USD $50.00 per person with a maximum stay of 3 hours.

Amenities

The lounge offers complimentary light refreshments, including beverages and snacks, along with high-speed Wi-Fi access. There is also a dedicated kids area for those traveling with children. There is comfortable seating with sofas and tables, allowing you to relax or work peacefully. The lounge features large windows with views of the airport and art throughout the lounge.

Saint Vincent Argyle International Airport (SVD) is the largest airport in the island nation of St. Vincent & Grenadines and operates non-stop flights to 15 destinations in 9 countries, with the longest flight being on Air Canada to Toronto (YYZ). The islands called the Grenadines include Bequia, Canouan, Mustique, and Union Island. Other airlines offering non-stop service include American Airlines, Caribbean Airlines,  Conviasa, interCaribbean Airways, LIAT20, Sunrise Airways, and Winair.

Closing Thoughts

It looks like a nice lounge, and being the only one in the entire region makes it even more special. As far as pricing goes, $50 does seem a bit steep, and there was no mention of children's pricing on the airport website for the lounge. So far the lounge has not partnered with Priority Pass or Dragonpass, but I hope that happens in the near future.
