Mayo Clinic has Announced an Employee Airport Lounge to Open at RST

The world-renowned Mayo Clinic will soon begin building an employee-only lounge at the Rochester International Airport (RST) in Minnesota.
The information was found in a new building permit, which was filed on July 25, 2025, for a new “Mayo Clinic Lounge at RST.” The permit also disclosed that the estimated job value is $80,000. Lounge construction is planned to start in the fall and is slated to be airside near Gate 1.
RST will soon feature a dedicated Mayo Clinic space to support staff travel. Designed for quiet work and meetings, the space reflects Mayo Clinic’s commitment to maintaining staff travel through RST,- Mary Gastner, Marketing and Communications Manager at RST.
Rochester (RST) Growth
Rochester has shown a solid increase in the last few years, nearing 100,000 enplanements in 2024*, which is up about 15% over the last two years. RST provides airline service via two airlines, Delta and American, to Minneapolis (MST) and Chicago (ORD), respectively.

Closing Thoughts
Not much more is known about this lounge, but as it gets closer to opening, we will learn more about access rules and amenities. The Rochester airport does not currently have any other lounges, but does offer three complimentary Quiet / Nursing Rooms for passengers.
