Review: The Transfer Lounge at the (Hilton) H Hotel Los Angeles (LAX)

I have stayed at the H Hotel (Hilton - Curio Collection) near Los Angeles (LAX) twice over the last 2 years, and I loved my stay both times. One of the awesome amenities they offer is a premium area called the Transfer Lounge. During my September 2022 visit, I noticed this lounge on my way out of the hotel and asked the front desk for information. I was able to get a tour from a friendly employee named Engelito who showed me around. This is not a typical hotel lounge but more of a 24-hour relaxation area with locked luggage storage, comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, power plugs, TVs, and a shower room. You can bring food and drinks up from the bar, but the lounge itself does not offer any food or beverage options.

During my visit, the lounge was empty, and I think that could be because people are not aware of its existence. The Transfer Room Shower and restroom were very nice and located across the hall from the lounge.

Access

As far as accessing the Transfer Lounge, I was told if you had Hilton Gold status or above, you could use the lounge free of charge. There is also an option to pay, but they were unsure of the pricing and terms.

Rooftop Patio

Unrelated to the Transfer Lounge, but I would be remiss if I did not take a moment and show some photos from the H Hotel rooftop patio on the 12th floor. This hotel is located close to LAX and has an amazing rooftop with views of the airport and the Pacific Ocean. This is one of the best places to stay if you are a plane spotter (#AVGeek) and want to watch planes. Rooftop access is available to anyone free of charge who is staying at the hotel.

Overall Rating: 4.3*

Pros: great place to store luggage, relax, or take a shower before getting on shuttle.
Cons: no outside view or windows, no food or snacks.

Closing Thoughts

The lounge would be great for either an early arrival before your room is ready or if you have a late flight out of LAX and you want to go do something around town before heading to the airport.
