Escape Lounges has opened a New Location at Bristol Airport (BRS)

The historic South West England port city of Bristol has just received a brand new Escape Lounge in the city's airport (BRS). The new lounge, located on the mezzanine level, replaces the previous Escape "Essence" lounge, which was situated at the other end of the terminal. The new, larger location opened its doors to the public on August 19, 2025, and has seating for an additional 140 travellers. The lounge is open daily from 03.30 - 19:30 (7:30 pm).
We’re delighted to officially open our new Escape Lounge. This is more than double the size of the previous lounge and provides an enhanced experience for passengers, whether they are travelling for business or leisure. It’s an exciting step in our ongoing commitment to transform the Airport experience for our customers.- Kate Gwyther, Head of Retail, Bristol Airport
Amenities
Besides being larger, the new lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows with Eastern views of the ramp area (great for planespotting). The lounge is divided into distinct zones for dining, working, or relaxing. Comfortable seating and a dedicated quiet area provide passengers with options depending on their needs.

The dining area offers customers a variety of hot and cold food, and there is also a full-service bar serving local beverages and more. Other beverages such as teas, coffee, and non-alcoholic drinks are offered in a self-serve island.

The lounge features many types of food that changes throughout the day. Below are some of the sample menu items you might see during a visit to the lounge.
- Breakfast: Back bacon, sausage, baked beans, tomato, scrambled eggs, tater bites, porridge with toppings, Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, croissants, and muffins.
- Lunch & Dinner: Tandoori chicken, penne pasta with basil pesto sauce, ramen, prawn crackers, turmeric rice, cheddar cheese, red onion & roasted pepper quiche. There are also various soups, including carrot and coriander, vegetable, leek and potato, minestrone, and tomato and basil. Fresh sandwiches include double egg, chicken Caesar, and simply cheese. For those looking for something a bit lighter, there are many salads to choose from, including mixed leaf salad, wholegrain mustard & maple potato salad, coleslaw, orzo salad, cucumber & onion salad, and tomato, herb & feta salad.
There are many options for those looking for vegetarian or vegan choices. For those looking for something sweet, the lounge also serves jam doughnuts and bread and butter pudding. For more information, see the Bristol Escape Lounge - Food Menu.
Location & Access
Customers can access the new Escape Lounge via the walkway next to the Cabin bar on the mezzanine level.

This Escape Lounge is a common-use lounge and is available for all eligible passengers to enjoy as long as they have a valid boarding pass. Guests can pre-book, walk up in person, or gain access via a membership. Note: Currently, the lounge is not listed with Priority Pass or Dragon Pass, but this will likely be only temporary.
Pro-Tip: You can save money by pre-booking online vs the walk-up price.

Closing Thoughts
This new location looks great for those travelling through Bristol Airport. There are currently 12 airlines offering service to over 100 destinations. I am very surprised there is only one lounge offering at an airport with such a large number of operations. I can imagine that another lounge will be added as the terminal expansion continues, but that is only a guess, and we will have to wait to see.
