United Airlines has expanded its (Terminal C) Polaris Lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). The expansion opened to the public on June 21, 2025, and features additional space for comfort. The lounge is open daily from 05:00 to 22:00 (10:00 pm) and is located between gates C102 and C120.

The renovation expanded the seating area by 10%, and it now has seating for 60 people. The expansion offers tables for solo travelers as well as larger tables for groups. United is the only major U.S. airline to offer à la carte dining options at Newark (EWR). Following the expansion, the lounge now spans 30,000 square feet (2,787 m²).

Dining Options

While in the newly expanded lounge, customers can order à la carte meals with curated premium food and beverages. Sample menu items include Lump Crab Cakes and the Polaris Signature Burger — now also available with a vegetarian Impossible patty. The bar also serves many items, including the signature United Polaris Star or the Classic Red Snapper Bloody Mary.

Closing Thoughts

This expansion brings the Newark lounge into a place to compete with other airlines offering Business Class lounges, such as the new Delta One lounge at JFK. Overall, this expansion looks beautiful; the warm tones and city views make this spot a great place to relax before a long flight.
