ITA Airways Lounges are Now Open to Lufthansa Group Travellers

Starting on July 1, 2025, frequent travelers of Lufthansa Group airlines (Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings) will gain access to ITA Airways lounges. The following lounges will become available:
- Piazza di Spagna - Roma Fiumicino (FCO)
- Hangar Lounge - Roma Fiumicino (FCO)
- Runway Lounge - Milan Linate (LIN)
- Piazza Vincenzo Bellini - Catania Fontanarossa (CTA)
Lufthansa Senators and HON Circle Members already gained access to the ITA Airways lounges in March. But this will expand lounge access to the other member airlines. The move is part of the integration process of ITA's services following Lufthansa's acquisition of a minority stake in ITA earlier this year.
Dieter Vranckx, Chief Commercial Officer of the Lufthansa Group, said: The harmonization of our Frequent Traveler status benefits across the Lufthansa Group marks a significant step for our most loyal guests. It underlines our commitment to a first-class and seamless travel experience. By expanding lounge access and introducing additional privileges for Lufthansa Group status customers, we are offering more convenience and flexibility.
As part of this harmonization, all Lufthansa Group-eligible passengers flying with ITA Airways benefit from priority check-in, an additional baggage allowance, and priority on the waiting list.

Closing Thoughts
For those who travel among the Lufthansa Group carriers, this is good news if visiting Italy. The four additional lounges offer some needed availability, especially since there are no Lufthansa lounges at any of these three airports where ITA has its lounges.
