Singapore Airlines Announces Changi (T2) Airport Lounge Upgrades

Singapore Airlines has announced it will be upgrading three of its lounges in Terminal 2 at the Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). This upgrade will take approximately 2 years with a $34 million (USD) price tag and should be completed sometime in mid-2027.
The lounge upgrades will be phased in over the next two years, starting on April 15, 2025. They will start by building a new SilverKris First Class Lounge, followed by a new SilverKris Business Lounge, and finally, the SilverKris Gold Lounge will begin construction in the first half of 2026. This phased approach will allow the airline not to close existing lounges until the new ones open.
The upgrades will enhance the new lounges with restrooms, shower suites, and improved food and amenities. These upgrades will expand the overall capacity by 50%.
Yeoh Phee Teik, Singapore Airlines Senior Vice President for Customer Experience, said, This significant investment underscores Singapore Airlines' unwavering commitment to elevating the end-to-end travel experience for our customers. Building on the success of our terminal 3 lounges, we are extending our signature hospitality and thoughtfully curated offerings to terminal 2.

Closing Thoughts
Seeing Singapore upgrade the lounges across Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 is exciting. I also like that they will do this refurbishment without impacting customers by allowing the current lounges to stay open. As these new lounges open, I will pass along the news.
