Following up on our recent announcement about the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse opening at LAX, the View From The Wing blog has reported that the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse has partnered with Priority Pass to allow copay access to the brand-new LAX Clubhouse.

It is great to (finally) have a Priority Pass lounge at LAX, but to enter the lounge, you need both a Priority Pass membership and pay an additional $35 per person for entrance.

Besides having to pay the $35 copay, there are some time restrictions for lounge entry. If you are entering the lounge using your Priority Pass membership, you will be limited to the hours between 08:00 - 17:00 (5 pm) & 20:00 (8 pm) - 23:00 (11 pm).

Closing Thoughts

I believe the $35 copay is likely in place to help reduce the overcrowding by Priority Pass members. The time restrictions will also help with overcrowding but are more likely in place to give departing Virgin customers full access to the lounge. I would be willing to pay $35 to check out the lounge, but I don't know if I would do that regularly. I see real value in this option when departing LAX on Southwest or another airline where there is no lounge access option.
