Wingtips Lounge just had its grand opening at Chicago O'Hare (ORD) in Terminal 5—Concourse M (International Terminal). After the October 2025 closing of the SAS Lounge in Chicago, the location had been abandoned. Then sometime in late January 2026, it quietly reopenedĀ as the Wingtips LoungeĀ in that exact location, and to make it official, last week they held their grand opening and ribbon cutting.

The lounge is located in one of the T5 rotundas between gates M19 and M20 and is open daily from 08:00 to 22:00 (10pm).

The location features wood flooring, lots of seating and tables, and large windows with abundant natural light and outside views. There are multiple buffet areas with warm and cold food options. There is an espresso machine, coffee, cold beverages, and a self-serve bar where customers can select from beer, wine, and selected liquor options. Throughout the lounge, there are charging plugs and areas to work or relax.

ORD Terminal 5

Terminal 5 is not connected by an airside walkway, so if you are connecting from other terminals, you must either exit and re-clear security or take the airside transfer shuttle bus (which may be limited to specific international connections). There are 33 (mostly international) airlines that depart from Terminal 5, making it the most diverse terminal at ORD.

Currently there are 5 lounges in Terminal 5, including the Air France Lounge (M8), Delta Sky Club (M14), LOT Polish Business Lounge (M18), Swissport Lounge (M13), and now the Wingtips Lounge (M19). Three of these lounges are partnered with Priority Pass.

Access

The location is open to Priority Pass and Lounge Key members. It is notable that after the redesign, the door still has SAS written on it and therefore likely is a contract lounge for SAS customers.

Closing Thoughts

Wingtips Lounge now operates two locations, one in St. Louis (STL) and the other in Chicago (ORD). I went to the Wingtips Lounge in St. Louis many years ago, before I was even writing about lounges. I remember it being a decent lounge, comparable to many Club or Escape Lounges I have visited. This location (based on photos) appears to be very similar to the St. Louis location. It is good news to see another lounge option and the third Priority Pass-eligible lounge in Terminal 5.
