Key Takeaways

  • The new lounge features French-inspired dining, premium beverages, runway views, and seating for nearly 150 guests.
  • Travelers can enjoy complimentary Clarins spa treatments, along with dedicated spaces for La Première and Flying Blue Ultimate customers.
  • Access is available to eligible Air France, KLM, Flying Blue Elite Plus, and eligible SkyTeam passengers.

Air France has officially opened its first dedicated lounge at London Heathrow Airport (LHR). The doors opened on July 7, 2026, to all eligible customers. The new lounge is situated in Terminal 4 on Level 3 and is open daily from 05:00 to 22:00 (10 pm). The lounge spans 8,073 square feet (750 m²) and has seating for around 150 customers.

I am for sure a fan of the overall design and how it reflects the brand identity, including the winged seahorse logo and use of the company signature colors—shades of blue, bright white, and touches of red.

As seen before, the lounge incorporates a lounge within a lounge, with dedicated private areas for La Première customers, including bespoke services, enhanced runway views, and in-seat dining service. In the Clarins area, La Première customers can also enjoy a “Destination Relaxation” treatment designed especially for them. In addition to the La Première customer area, there is a dedicated area for Flying Blue Ultimate members featuring four comfortable chairs providing guaranteed comfort and peace and quiet.

Amenities

Air France provides a full set of standard and upscale amenities for customers to enjoy. The lounge has an open area centered around the dining area; there are small tables as well as a large communal table to meet the needs of different-sized groups. Throughout the lounge, there is a selection of comfortable chairs to relax, work, or enjoy refreshments. There is also a dedicated relaxation area as well as a quiet workspace for those wanting to focus on work. To speed up entrance into the lounge, they have incorporated access kiosks.

The dining menu changes throughout the day and offers a selection of hot and cold dishes, including sweet and savory options. There are traditional French dishes such as beef bourguignon, as well as many vegetarian options. The lounge offers a fully stocked bar with a selection of champagne, French wines, and spirits.

The lounge incorporates many sustainable practices. When possible, Air France prioritizes the use of local and seasonal produce when designing its menus. Also, particular attention is also paid to reducing food waste, recycling, and offering water dispensers to limit the use of single-use plastic.

One upscale amenity in the lounge is the Clarins treatment area which offers complimentary treatments on weekdays. The private treatment spa offers a range of services, including titles such as "Anti Jet-Lag", "L’Instant Detox", and "Focus Regard". The spa uses a selection of plant-based formulas and carefully calibrated techniques, each adapted, crafted, and tailored to the individual. These beauty rituals combine deep relaxation with the release of tension before travel.

Standard amenities include restrooms, showers, TVs, Wi-Fi, and plenty of power sockets with USB. In addition, customers can choose from a selection of French and international digital newspapers and magazines via the Air France Press app.

Access

Lounge access is for Air France La Première, Business (excluding Business light fare), and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, as well as eligible customers flying with KLM and SkyTeam alliance partner airlines.

Closing Thoughts

This sleek lounge looks really nice and will be great for customers, especially with spa service. It's also nice to have another SkyTeam lounge at Heathrow. Currently, Air France operates six daily flights between London Heathrow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle, connecting customers to destinations across the globe.
