Makassar Indonesia Airport (UPG) Gets a Blue Sky Premier Lounge
Airport Dimensions has opened a new Blue Sky Premier Lounge at the Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (UPG) in Indonesia. This new location spans 5,382 square feet (500 m²) with a capacity for 137 travellers. The lounge is situated in the domestic terminal just past security and is open 24 hours.
This opening marks the first milestone in the partnership between Blue Sky Lounge and Airport Dimensions, which was announced in March 2025. The lounge combines sleek modern style with a regional identity, featuring locally crafted Batik motifs and design elements highlighting Makassar’s coastal port city history.

The menu features locally inspired dishes served buffet style, including the popular Blue Sky signature Mantau dish. To keep the menu fresh, there will also be a rotation of regional favorites such as Coto Makassar, Pisang Ijo, and I-ta Suki’s steamboat noodles.
The lounge offers a limited selection of beverages, including a dedicated coffee corner serving Ippolito coffee, Blue Sky’s signature locally roasted in-house coffee brand known for its rich flavor. Guests can also enjoy a selection of cold-pressed juices from the Healthy Corner, unlimited Le Minerale premium water, and tea.
The lounge offers complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and has two designated productivity zones for those wanting to focus on work. There is also a dedicated smoking room with a Honeywell air purification system, helping ensure the air quality remains fresh throughout the lounge.
For those wanting a quiet space for reflection and worship, the lounge features separate prayer rooms for men and women. For families traveling with young children, a nursery room is also available, offering a comfortable and private space for families. Those looking to freshen up can take advantage of showers and restrooms.
Another highlight is the VIP private rooms (accessible for an additional fee), which provide an elevated level of privacy and comfort, complete with plush seating and refreshments. Finally, the lounge offers a buggy service, which transports guests from the lounge to their departure gate.
Access
Blue Sky Premier Lounge Makassar is a common-use lounge open to all passengers, regardless of airline or ticket class, offering a premium experience for every traveler. Members of Priority Pass and LoungeKey can enjoy complimentary access to the lounge. Access is also available through pre-booking via a reservation hotline, and day passes are also available for purchase. Children under 6 years are admitted free.

This lounge offers nearly every amenity someone could need when traveling. I love the inclusion of the nursery room and the productivity zones, which include amenities for different types of travellers. The Concordia Lounge is the only other lounge at the Makassar airport.
