Rebranded Hong Kong (HKG) Chase Sapphire Lounge Opens as Kyra Lounge

The recently closed Chase Sapphire Lounge in Hong Kong has been rebranded as the Kira Lounge. This new location opened on January 10th, 2026, and becomes the second Kira Lounge at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). The new lounge is located in Terminal 1, near Gate 40. The lounge spansĀ  4,271 square feet (367 mĀ²) and has seating for 230 guests.

Additionally, it is important to note that the second Kira Lounge at HKG is also in Terminal 1, but it is located near Gate 23. This previous Kyra Lounge opened in 2024 andĀ has since won multiple awards. Hong Kong has a very lounge filled airport with 16 lounges spanning multiple concourses.

Having a second Kyra Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport within such a short timeframe is a milestone we are extremely proud of. It reflects not only the appetite from travellers for high-quality airport experiences, but also the strength of our partnership with SSP and TFS. It appears that lots of inspiration might be coming from its other lounge, using local Hong Kong flavors and a bar full of signature cocktails and mocktails. The lounge has different zones for rest, recharge, and focus depending on the need of the passenger.

Kyra Lounge is open to all travelers regardless of airline or ticket class. Access can be purchased and is also included as part of the Priority Pass program.

Closing Thoughts

I am impressed with the speed this new location was opened. I am also impressed with what I have seen so far inside the lounge; it looks very promising, and people who have already been seem to give it solid reviews.
