Key Takeaways

  • Loungetide lets travelers check reported wait times before heading to a Chase Sapphire Lounge.
  • The Will I Make It? feature helps determine whether there's enough time to visit a lounge before departure.
  • Travelers can contribute to the community by reporting their wait times and helping others plan their visits.

Waitlists and lines are often part of the lounge experience these days. Trying to plan your departure, which lounge(s) to visit, and still make your flight takes some planning. Luckily there are some tools that have surfaced to help with the planning process, including a new simple-to-use and beautifully designed web app called Loungetide. This free web-based tool uses crowdsourced reports and estimated wait times to help travelers plan visits to Chase Sapphire Lounges.

Loungetide Features

The Loungetide app offers several tools that help you plan for your lounge visit and timing. Once you are ready to visit the lounge, either upon airport arrival or once you land on a connection, go to loungetide.com to check current wait times, or if you are short on time, consider using the "Will I make it?" feature to see if you have enough time to visit the lounge.

Feature: Check In

Upon arriving at the lounge, it is time to check in by clicking on either "I just joined the line" or "No wait. I walked straight in". If you select the "I just joined the line" option, it will start a timer that will track the number of minutes before you get into the lounge (don't forget once you enter the lounge to click on "I'm in" to stop the timer and share the information with others).

Another nice feature on the airport pages for each lounge shows the best typical times to visit the lounge, as well as lounge information, including the location (including the nearby gate) and the operating hours, as well as access rules.

Feature: Will I make it?

The Will I make it? feature prompts you to enter your airport, flight departure time, and estimated walk time to the lounge. With that information, it will then calculate if you have enough time to visit the lounge and provide a colorful time graph bar.

The feature I like the most is the time bar shown on the Will I make it? screen. It shows the current time, estimated wait, estimated lounge entrance time, and time to leave the lounge with a 30-minute margin. It also calculates the time you are allowed to enter the lounge (given the 3-hour prior to departure rule).

Note: the current Chase policy states that connecting flights can enter the lounge up to 5 hours prior to departure; otherwise, customers may enter 3 hours prior to flight departure (see policy)

I wish the time bar showed how much time I would have inside the lounge in hours and minutes. This would be useful for me to know how much time I have inside to help with planning what I would do when in the lounge.

Current Chase Sapphire Lounges

Below are the airports that currently have Chase Sapphire Lounges. Chase is adding to their locations and has announced three new ones that are planned to open in 2026 and 2027.

  1. Boston Logan International (BOS)
  2. Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW)
  3. Las Vegas International Airport (LAS)
  4. New York Kennedy Airport (JFK)
  5. New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA)
  6. Philadelphia Intl Airport (PHL)
  7. Phoenix International Airport (PHX)
  8. San Diego International Airport (SAN)
  9. Washington Dulles International (IAD)

Closing Thoughts

Overall, this is a great tool and fills a gap that Chase does not offer. I am going to take this for a spin in a few weeks when I am in Dallas (DFW) and checking out the new Chase Sapphire Lounge.
