Alaska Airlines Announces Plans for Lounge at San Diego (SAN)

Alaska Airlines has announced plans to open an airport lounge at San Diego International Airport (SAN). Construction is planned to begin in early 2027 and is expected to span approximately 13,000 square feet (1,208 m²). The large lounge will serve guests traveling to 45+ nonstop destinations on Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines – the most of any carrier at SAN.
The Alaska lounge will feature quiet workspaces, multiple seating areas, Wi-Fi, and a barista (coffee) station. There will also be a full-service bar and locally inspired dining options.

With our new San Diego Lounge on the horizon, we’re shaping the future of travel with spaces designed to make travel feel seamless, elevated and welcoming.- Todd Traynor-Corey, Vice President of Guest Products and Experience
First Class guests flying 2,100+ miles get complimentary access to the lounge, while Lounge+ members enjoy access to every Alaska Lounge and nearly 90 partner lounges, like the American Airlines Admirals Club.
Together with Hawaiian Airlines and oneworld alliance partners, Alaska Airlines offers connections to over 330 worldwide destinations from San Diego (SAN). Currently, SAN has four lounges, a USO lounge, and an upcoming Escape Lounge.
