American Opens New Temporary TBIT Admirals Club in Los Angeles (LAX)
As part of the massive renovation of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and following the closure of Terminal 5, American Airlines has been working hard to expand lounge capacity. As of today (November 9, 2025), some good news for those who travel out of LAX: a new (temporary) Admirals Club at Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) has opened. This lounge is located near Gate 151 on the departures level of Terminal B (a.k.a TBIT), and is open daily from 04:30 to 00:15 (12:15 am).
This new lounge is interesting because it is wedged between gates 151 and 153 — it kinda gives me a feeling of what American Express did to the Centurion Lounge in Atlanta at Gate E11. This lounge is also not fully enclosed; instead, it is surrounded by what appears to be 8-foot walls.
According to the FlyLAX interactive map, the lounge offers food and drinks, a full-service bar, showers, and Wi-Fi. But there is no mention of showers on the American Airlines website for Los Angeles (LAX). Honestly, I would be surprised if there were even restrooms at this location, given its temporary status and the fact that there are restrooms across the hall.
LAX Admirals Clubs
With the opening of this new TBIT lounge, there are now three Admirals Clubs at Los Angeles (LAX), which are located in three different terminals. Additionally, there is an American Airlines Flagship Lounge (T4) and three oneworld lounges for eligible travellers.
- Admirals Club, Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) - Terminal B (near Gate 151)
- Admirals Club, Terminal 4 (near Gate 41)
- Admirals Club, American Eagle Regional Terminal (near Gate 52D)

Closing Thoughts
This lounge is located on level 4 of the TBIT terminal, on the same level as the Centurion Lounge but away from all the other TBIT LAX lounges, which are on levels 5 and 6. Chatter on the internet mentioned that the seating between gates 151 and 153 was removed. I wonder how that will affect seating around those gates?
