American Announces Construction of Chicago (ORD-L Gates) Admirals Club

American Airlines is in the construction phase of a new Admirals Club lounge at Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) in Concourse L. This new lounge will offer more space, upgraded amenities, and an improved customer experience.

The new location will span 10,000 square feet (929 m²) and feature local design elements that reflect Chicago, as well as sweeping airside views via floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the runway. The lounge will also feature distinct ‘neighborhoods’ each tailored to travelers’ needs.

There are Admirals Club lounges in each concourse and a Flagship lounge located between Concourses H and K. The existing lounge in Concourse L will remain open during the construction of this new lounge.

Closing Thoughts

Chicago (ORD) currently has 15 lounges, 2 USO lounges, and  many other venues for travelers. The opening of this new Admirals Club lounge will be great for American and oneworld travelers.
