Chase and Etihad Partner to Open New JFK Lounge
Chase has announced it will partner with Etihad Airways to open a lounge at New York's JFK Airport. The Sapphire Lounge by The Club with Etihad Airways will be located in Terminal 4 on the Mezzanine - Level 4 above gate A2. The lounge will be located in the same spot as the previous Etihad Airways lounge, which closed in 2020.
This location will offer the signature Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club experience and is expected to open on January 23 (one week after the grand opening of the Chase Sapphire LaGuardia lounge).
I am hearing rumors that the lounge will have showers and will be open from 05:00 to 23:00 (11 pm). The lounge will feature fresh, seasonal dining with halal options, as well as cocktails, coffee, and other beverages. There will also be private restrooms and reflection rooms to relax.
Lounge Access
- Chase Sapphire Reserve with Priority Pass card members have unlimited visits, including two guests.
- Non-Chase Sapphire Reserve Priority Pass members are able to enter the lounge once per calendar year at no cost (with no visitors). Each subsequent visit or each additional guest will cost $75.
- Etihad First Class and Business Class
Closing Thoughts
JFK airport has the most lounges (27) of any airport in the United States. This lounge is likely to have many similarities to the Chase Sapphire Lounge at LGA. JFK's Terminal 4 has 10 lounges, including two Delta lounges, a Centurion lounge, and lounges for many other airlines. I will be curious to see how this joint venture between Chase and Etihad works out when things open.
