Key Takeaways

  • Delta has opened its second Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), located in Terminal 2.
  • Premium amenities include chef-curated dining, a full-service bar, showers, valet-style services, and comfortable seating.
  • By 2028, Delta will offer four lounge spaces at LAX, totaling 60,000 square feet (5,574 m²).

Delta Air Lines is growing its presence in Los Angeles by celebrating the opening of a second Delta One Lounge at LAX. This new location opened on June 30, 2026, and is being marked as the Phase 1 completion of the LAX lounge expansion. Once all expansion is done, Delta will have 60,000 square feet (5,574 m²) of lounge space across four lounges.

The new Delta One lounge is located in Terminal 2 on the Mezzanine level. This is also the smallest of the Delta One lounges, spanning just 4,000 square feet (372 m²) with seating for 75 guests. But the opening of this lounge provides eligible customers with a lounge in Terminal 2, so they no longer need to use the Delta One lounge located in Terminal 3, and can save a 15 minute walk for those departing from Terminal 2.

This investment remains congruent to our strategy of elevating the premium experience both at LAX and across our global network, said Megan Humphreys, Vice President of Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience. With demand for premium travel continuing to rise and our global footprint expanding, we’re thoughtfully looking at every square foot we have — designing every detail with intention and to align with the Delta One experience our customers deserve.

As mentioned above, Delta is expanding the lounges in phases to provide customers with the least interruption. Phase 2, planned to be complete in late 2027, will open a new 11,000 square feet (1,022 m²) Sky Club in Terminal 2 and simultaneously (but temporarily) close this new (T2) Delta One lounge. During this closure, Delta will transform the (T2) Delta One lounge into its final stage. Once everything is complete in 2028, Delta will have two Sky Clubs and two Delta One lounges at LAX, with both terminals having one of each.

Amenites

The Terminal 2 Delta One Lounge offers a much quieter space, focusing on culinary offerings with upscale à la carte dining. The lounge offers three showers, four restrooms, wireless charging, a premium bar, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the airfield.

With elevated dining being the focus of this lounge, guests can enjoy table service at every seat. Sample items include lamb bolognese with house-made lumache pasta, hamachi crudo, and classic French onion soup. For breakfast, the lounge offers acai bowls, huevos rancheros, and locally inspired and fresh daily pastries and small-batch, copper-pot jams delivered each morning from the beloved East Hollywood restaurant Sqirl.

As far as beverages, guests can enjoy the full-service premium bar with signature cocktails and local beer or wine. The lounge also offers fresh juices like the Vitality Shot—a blend of coconut, turmeric, and black pepper—smoothies, such as the cacao pea protein smoothie, tea, and coffee from Santa Cruz-based Verve roastery.

The new lounge offers the existing premium LAX Delta One ground experience, delivering a seamless, curb-to-planed journey. Customers can take advantage of curbside drop at the arrivals level of Terminal 3, enter the private Delta One check-in and security, and have the option to take Delta transportation (via a golf cart) directly to the Terminal 2 Delta One Lounge.

Access

Sky Club and Delta One Lounges have different access rules. Delta Sky Club memberships and Delta co-branded credit cards do not grant access to Delta One Lounge. Below are the three entrance options into a Delta One Lounge:

Guest policy: Delta One passengers cannot bring guests. Only eligible Delta 360° members may bring others — either their immediate family (spouse or domestic partner and children under 21) or up to 2 companion guests — for a fee of $100 USD or 10,000 SkyMiles per person. Guests must be flying on a same-day Delta-operated flight.

Closing Thoughts

The Delta lounge expansion at LAX is impressive. This smaller Delta One location in Terminal 2 makes total sense, but to me the real win will be when they open a Sky Club in Terminal 2 for customers departing that terminal.
