Lounge Review: Delta Sky Club - Los Angeles (LAX) Terminal 2
Update: this lounge closed in November 2024 and is no longer operating; see Delta Sky Club in Terminal 3 for the new location.
On my way back from a weekend in Los Angeles at the #SPOTLAX2022 event, I decided to visit the “vintage” Delta Sky Club in Terminal 2. I visited the lounge just after 6 PM on a Sunday, and it was a nice sight to see since the lounge was about 90% empty.
Location and Access
The Delta Sky Club in Terminal 2 is located on the mezzanine above Gate 24. There is an elevator or stairs that will take you up from the terminal level to the mezzanine level. I used my Delta SkyMiles Reserve credit card for access. Once I arrived at the lounge there was no wait to enter and the check-in process took about 30 seconds.
Lounge Amenities
The lounge offered common amenities seen at other Sky Clubs. There was a large buffet, a full bar, and many seating options, including ones along the large windows with views of the runway and ramp areas. Another useful amenity was the abundance of charging plugs, found at seats, tables, and walls. The lounge had a very open and spacious feel, and I also really enjoyed all the wall art placed around the lounge. There are also TVs on the wall so you can watch sports or news, and Delta always has a decent selection of magazines to choose from.
Seating and Work Areas
The seating was a bit dated but still in great condition. There were work areas with tables, sofas, group seating areas, and seating along the windows with views outdoors. I did not notice any dedicated business center or working area while visiting the lounge.
Food and Beverage
As I mentioned before, the lounge was mostly empty. With that, you would think the buffet might be less stocked, but I saw the opposite. The central buffet bar was fully stocked with sandwiches, soup, salad, hummus, cheese and deli meat charcuterie, and cookies. On the hot bar there was roasted broccoli, mac and cheese, and chicken and rice.
Restrooms and Showers
The restrooms were clean and conveniently located in the lounge. I did not visit the showers but did see they were available by checking in at the front desk for assistance.
Internet and Noise
While I was in the lounge, I did not test the internet or noise. But I can tell you this lounge was super quiet due to the emptiness.
Overall Rating: 4.1*

Closing Thoughts
If you are flying out of Terminal 2, this is the one and only lounge and does not disappoint. The new Terminal 3 (Skyway) Delta Sky Club is open as well but is usually packed. I was only here in the lounge for about 45 minutes, but the lounge really had an open feeling and had lots of room to relax.
