American Express is adopting the quick-turn lounge model. AMEX has recently announced a new concept lounge called Sidecar by the Centurion Lounge. This boutique speakeasy-inspired lounge will feature stone, brass, and lush greenery, with a large bar and smallish seating area. This new lounge concept will first open at the Harry Reid - Las Vegas International Airport (LAS) sometime in 2026.

Amenities

Customers can grab a quick bite and drink before boarding. The Sidecar Lounge will feature small gourmet plates and signature drinks curated by The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge in a space created for travelers with limited time. The lounge will reportedly feature standard amenities, including a full bar, complimentary Wi-Fi, and restrooms.

Many of our visitors spend less than an hour in our Lounges, and we’ve created Sidecar specifically for them, said Audrey Hendley, President of American Express Travel.

It is important to note that it is different from other grab-and-go lounges seen by Capital One, Delta, United, and soon American Airlines. The Sidecar is geared towards a quick stop where you can enjoy a drink or snack in the lounge before heading to your flight.

Access

Access will be complimentary for American Express card members who currently have access to The Centurion Lounge Network, including Platinum Card and Delta Skymiles Reserve Card members. Guests will be eligible to access the lounge 90 minutes before their flight departs. Customers will also continue to have access to the existing LAS Centurion Lounge.

Closing Thoughts

Following some inspiration from the Atlanta Centurion Lounge, there are lots of natural aspects and greenery. I think this will provide a nice, relaxing area for people to pit-stop on their way to their departing flight.
