American Express Opens Centurion Sidecar Lounge in Las Vegas (LAS)
Announced back in 2025, the new American Express Sidecar by Centurion Lounge has opened at the Las Vegas International Airport (LAS) on March 4, 2026. This is the first of the Sidecar locations to open and is a very interesting concept. Designed as a quick-turn offering with a focus on solo travelers and couples, the Sidecar only allows access up to 90 minutes before departure (compared to the typical 3-hour rule). The speakeasy-inspired venue is very small, spanning approximately 1,500 square feet (139 m²) with a capacity for about 33 travelers.
Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge was born out of the fact that a significant portion of Centurion Lounge visitors stay for an hour or less. This is not only an exciting return to LAS, but a new approach we created for those travelers looking for an upscale and efficient respite — even when they have a short window before boarding their flight, said Audrey Hendley, President, American Express Travel.
The Sidecar is located in Concourse D across from gate D1 and just a short walk away from The Centurion Lounge and is open daily from 08:00 to 22:00 (10 pm).
Amenities
The lounge offers limited amenities, including private restrooms, power outlets with USB, and access to complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Once inside the lounge, the decor and design incorporate warm and upscale elements. The Sidecar focuses on quality over quantity, offering restaurant-quality fare and curated refreshments delivered directly to your table via a QR code powered by Toast.
Menu items will rotate regularly and are curated by members of The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge. Sample menu items include:
- Crushed Cucumber Salad with Crispy Rice Pearls by Chef Kwame Onwuachi
- Avocado Toast with Schug Labneh and Black Sesame Seeds by Chef Michael Solomonov
- Mushroom & Mustard Greens Egg Bites with Black Garlic Aioli by Chef Mashama Bailey
- Sidecar Cocktail — Cognac, Cointreau, Lemon by Bar Director Harrison Ginsberg
- Additionally, each month, the menu will feature a different specialty Chef Signature Sandwich from The Culinary Collective, starting with Chicky Chicky Parm Parm Sliders by Chef Sarah Grueneberg.
Access
Access can be gained using the American Express Platinum Credit or any card that is part of the Global Lounge Program. (Note that guest access is the same as those of the Centurion Lounge. Unless you meet a $75,000 annual spending requirement on your card, you’ll pay $50 per adult guest and $30 per child (ages 2 to 17). Children under 2 can enter for free.)

Closing Thoughts
Las Vegas is an all-around great place for lounge access; there are seven lounges, two USO lounges, three XpresSpas, and two Chrioport massage centers. The addition of this Sidecar option is great to help with overcrowding and give customers short on time another fast option.
