In related news to the opening of the Sidecar Lounge at LAS, the Charlotte City Council will be voting on Monday (March 9th, 2026) to approve a lease at theĀ Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT).

Item #41 on the upcoming agenda will be to approve a 5-year lease (with another 5 year renewal option) for a 4,600-square-foot (367 m²) Sidecar Lounge in Concourse A at the Charlotte airport. If approved and opened, the airport will receive  25% of gross revenues generated from the space.

Current Lounges at CLT

Charlotte Douglas currently has six lounges, a USO Lounge, a Gameway Lounge, two Minute Suites, and two Be Relax Spa locations, as well as an upcoming Capital One Lounge and American Airlines Flagship Lounge, both planned to open sometime in 2026.

Closing Thoughts

This would be a great addition to the Charlotte airport to offer travelers a quick option when traveling through the airport. Also, worth noting, the size of this location is much larger than the Vegas location, but I also wonder if some of the 4,600 square feet will include kitchen areas.
