Capital One Announces Largest Ever Lounge Coming to Charlotte (CLT)
Capital One has announced it will be opening a new Capital One Lounge location at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). This new lounge will be opened as part of the Concourse A expansion on the mezzanine level.
There are not many details yet, but it is slated to be the largest Capital One Lounge, spanning approximately 14,000 square feet (1300 m²). The new lounge will feature expansive airport views, locally inspired menus, and a full-service coffee bar. There is no announced opening date for this lounge, but I think it will most likely be sometime in 2027, or maybe even 2028.
This new location will join the growing network of Capital One lounges currently found in Dallas (DFW), Denver (DEN), Las Vegas (LAS), New York (JFK), Washington (DCA), and Washington (IAD), with another planned āLandingsā location to open (sometime in 2026) at New York (LGA).
Charlotte Airport
Charlotte is the seventh busiest airport in the United States (based on 2024 enplanements). This will become the eighth lounge in Charlotte, joining American, American Express Centurion, Delta, The Club, and a USO lounge.

Closing Thoughts
I am happy to see Capital One expanding. When it comes to U.S. banking lounges, the American Express Centurion leads the pack, with 16 locations, followed by Chase Sapphire with 8 locations, and Capital One coming in last with 6 locations. Also, it's worth noting this opening might get many American Airlines customers to sign up for the Venture X cards, since they will have lounges in CLT, DFW, LGA, and JFK, which are all major hotspots for American Airlines.
