Capital One Opens Denver International (DEN) Airport Lounge
After what seems to be a long wait, Capital One has opened its newest lounge at Colorado's Denver International Airport (DEN). This lounge opened its doors on November 3, 2023, to the public and appears to be beyond my expectations.
Location
The new Capital One (DEN) Lounge spans 10,800 square feet (1,003 m²) and is located in Concourse A, near Gate 34 on the mezzanine level. You can quickly get from the terminal level to the 2nd floor by taking an escalator that will bring you nearly directly to the lounge. The lounge is open from 05:00 to 21:00 daily.
Food and Beverage
The food and bar menu looks fantastic. They offer healthy and hearty options for travelers, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and kosher options, and options for those with nut allergies. Like the other Capital One lounges, there is an excellent grab-and-go section for customers short on time.
- Breakfast Highlights: Avocado and Mixed Berry Bowl, Mini Dutch Pancakes, Spiced Tater Tots, Corned Beef Hash, and more.
- Lunch & Dinner Highlights: Tomato Confit Crostini, Citrus Soba Noodle Salad, Bison Sloppy Joes, Balsamic Teriyaki Bowl, and more.
- Pastries and Desserts: croissants, muffins, scones, brownies, baklava, and cookies.
- Beverages: Mocktails and no-ABV beer, aviation-themed cocktails such as First Class Bloody Mary, Ground Control to Major Tom, as well as other fun creations. There is also local craft beer, wine, and upgraded beverages for a small fee. There is also a fantastic coffee selection with coffee from Unravel Coffee Merchants, lattes, and cold brew on tap from La Colombe.
Amenities
The Denver lounge is divided into four zones for travelers to relax, work, dine, or imbibe. The lounge offers relaxation rooms (with pods) that can be reserved in advance, as well as three private workspaces, including conference space for up to four individuals. Two additional phone booths are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a parent's room that is great for nursing and kid care. Throughout the lounge, there are power outlets at tables and chairs. There are also six private, all-gender restrooms, two private shower suites, and a luggage storage area.
Access
Lounge access can be gained through a handful of methods. Firstly, the lounge is targeted to customers with the Venture X and Venture X Business credit cards. Venture X customers have unlimited complimentary access to Capital One Lounges, as well as the option to bring two guests at no additional cost, and extra guests can be added for $45 per person. Travelers with the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or Capital One Spark Miles for Business receive two complimentary visits to Capital One Lounges or Plaza Premium Lounges annually. Additional visits can be purchased at a discounted rate of $45 as a final option. Travelers without any of these travel cards can simply purchase access to the lounge for $65 per visit.
Customers can enter the lounge up to three hours before departure. You must have a boarding pass for a departing or connecting same-day flight. The three-hour departure rule does not apply to customers on connecting flights.

Closing Thoughts
As a consumer, this premium lounge is a win; I see Capital One and Chase compete for customers, and their lounge products are way above average. Capital One will be opening new lounges in Las Vegas (LAS) Airport, New York’s LaGuardia (LGA) Airport, and Washington D.C.’s Ronald Reagan (DCA) Airport, likely in 2024. Denver (DEN) now has eight lounges, including American (1), Delta (1), United (3), Centurion (1), a USO lounge, and now the Capital One lounge.
