Delta & Delta Sky Club at Chicago (ORD) Move to Terminal 5
Exciting news in Chicago. Starting October 12, 2022, Delta Airlines has relocated its operations and Sky Club (ORD) from Terminal 2 to a brand-new location in Terminal 5 (International Terminal). The move of this lounge provides easy access to the SkyTeam partner lounges (Aeromexico, Air France, KLM, and Korean Air). It eliminates the need for international customers to transfer terminals and re-enter security when flying through O'Hare. Terminal 5 now has the most lounges (5) of any terminal at ORD, with lounges by British Airways (2), Delta, SAS, and Swiss Airlines.
This new lounge is 22,000+ square feet (four times the size of the previous lounge) and can accommodate around 400 guests. The lounge also features the self-check kiosks found at other updated Sky Clubs, such as the LAX Sky Club in Terminal 3. In addition to the modern interior, ample seating, and warm lighting, guests will enjoy expanded food and beverage offerings from two buffets, including charcuterie, seasonal salads, freshly made sandwiches, hot entrees, and vegetarian selections.
Chicago is a global city that connects travelers to destinations all around the world, and we wanted to elevate our presence here to give our customers the premium experience they deserve- Claude Roussel, Managing Director – Delta Sky Club
A full-service bar will serve Delta Sky Club’s standard selection of wine, beer, and cocktails, while a wine bar – the only one of its kind in the Delta lounge network – features an overhead rack holding premium wines. Art can be found throughout the lounge, and The Gallery ORD features pieces curated through Delta Sky Club’s art program, including large-scale neon art, sculpture, and mixed-media works by local Chicago artists. The lounge also includes four premium showers (booked via an automated Virtual Queue), privacy sound booths (pods) for quiet work, and a family room for nursing mothers.
Exclusive to this location, Delta customers will be able to board select flights via boarding bridges located directly inside the Club, with two separate gate areas located near the Club entrance and behind the wine bar. Delta currently offers over 40 nonstop departures out of ORD to eight of the airline’s nine U.S. hubs.

Closing Thoughts
Delta has been investing in lounges and customer experience across many locations, including LAX, LGA, and now ORD. I am also very happy to see the trend toward larger lounges, with the hope that it will help with overcrowding.
