After being closed for major renovations, Lufthansa has reopened the "Allegris" Senator and Business Lounges at the Stuttgart Airport (STR) in Germany. The new dual lounge reopened on December 16, 2025, just before the end of the year and for the travel season.

The lounge is located in Terminal 1, near Gate 173, and uses a single entrance for both the Business and Senator lounges. There is a reception desk as well as an automated digital access control system. Combined, the two lounges have a seating capacity for 145 passengers (90 in Business Lounge and 55 in Senator).

Both lounges offer specific zones for relaxing or working, offer a wide selection of food and beverages, and offer standard amenities including buffet dining, with snacks, Wi-Fi, charging areas, magazines, newspapers, and a self-service bar. The Senator Lounge also offers a barista coffee bar, where coffee specialties are freshly prepared using beans from a local roaster.

Access

Access to the lounge is offered to business class passengers, HON Circle Members, Senators, and Star Alliance Gold members. Also, customers that have the American Express Platinum Card may enjoy access to Lufthansa (LH) Business Lounges (regardless of LH Group ticket class). Some Lufthansa lounges offer a day pass option, but you will need to check online or with the lounge to confirm.

Stuttgart Airport

There are a total of 32 airlines that operate from Stuttgart (STR), including Star Alliance Airlines carriers such as Austrian Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, SWISS Airlines, and Turkish Airlines. The Lufthansa Group flies from "STR" to more than 60 destinations in 21 countries, primarily with Eurowings and Lufthansa. This year, Lufthansa celebrated its 70th anniversary at Stuttgart Airport.

Closing Thoughts

While the lounge was closed, the only other lounge at Stuttgart was the Aviator Gallery Lounge, so the opening of this lounge will likely be a great relief to passengers wanting to visit the Aviator Gallery Lounge. During the warmer months (April–October), there is also a Visitor Terrace (Besucherterrasse) where you can go outside to view airplanes and relax.
