Star Alliance Opens 2nd Lounge Location in Paris (CDG) in Terminal 1
Star Alliance has opened its second lounge in the Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG) airport. The new lounge is located in Terminal 1 (gates 10 to 38) for non-Schengen flights operated by member airlines. The new lounge has room for 300 passengers and spans 13,900 square feet (1,291 m²).
The new lounge was designed by the same firm (Gensler) that also designed the Star Alliance lounge at LAX. The old lounge (located pre-immigration) is still operational and will keep serving intra-Schengen passengers on member airline flights. As per access policies, besides the usual suspects (First / Business / Gold members), eligible United Club and Air Canada Maple Leaf Club members may also access the lounge, as well as paid entry.
The lounge has a modern and relaxing design with leather chairs and tables as well as comfortable seating and private areas for working. There are floor-to-ceiling windows for outside views. There are charging ports throughout the lounge, including wireless charging.
One of the best features appears to be a stunningly designed Welcome Bar offering a range of beverages. Also, there is an immersive wine bar featuring master winemaker Gerard Bertrand and their wines from the South of France, and a tea salon offering an assortment from around the world. The lounge has four showers (one of them is accessible). There is also a small open courtyard where you can relax outside as well as a dedicated area for smokers.
More information can be found on the Star Alliance Paris Lounge (CDG) page.

Closing Thoughts
I will be curious how this lounge compares to the Star Alliance Lounge at LAX, that has won many awards for being one of the better lounges.
