My Least Favorite Lounge Observations from 2025 ☹
- People talking or listening to music on their speaker phone in a lounge.
- People taking their shoes off, especially putting them on tables or furniture.
- People blocking off chairs and areas when they don't need the extra space.
- People being rude to lounge employees, not tipping or thanking employees, etc.
- Slow Wi-Fi in lounges (I saw some horrible speed scores in 2025).
- Charging for "Premium" Beer, example $5 for a bottle of Stella in a lounge — I am talking to you, Delta (AUS).
- Slow USB charging (no Quick Charge) in lounges (I know, petty, but sometimes time is of the essence).

Closing Thoughts
In this annual report, I think I am most excited to see that 17+ new lounges will be opening in 2026. As seen in previous years, a handful of airports got their first-ever lounge; this year they included Bentonville, AR (XNA); Fort Wayne, IN (FWA); Grand Rapids, MI (GRR); and Tulsa, OK (TUL) airports. The consolidation of the Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines loyalty programs will open up the lounge options for those flying on the new Atmos program. Delta, United, and American Airlines were the largest lounge operators. I am excited we will see the first Plaza Premium First lounge open in the United States as well as strong growth in credit card lounges in 2026.
